Detailed description (English): Orienteering, which is called finding a target by running with the help of a map and compass, is also referred to as playing chess in nature. Orienteering, which is a combination of physical and mental skills, is a good social activity as a team game that combines greenery and exercise in a field. Orienteering also functions as a preferred nature sport to raise ecological awareness in people. For this reason, an orienteering event was planned with 5 separate teams formed by the volunteer personnel of Sincan District Health Directorate.
It has been stated in many studies that "sustainable environmental sensitivity" criteria should be taken into consideration when determining the environment in which orienteering will take place. For these reasons, and according to the information received from the Sincan Municipality Parks and Gardens Directorate, the most suitable location for orienteering was the Sincan Wonderland Park. Before and after the event, ecological activities are going to be organized in the region, such as environmental cleaning, which will have a positive impact on the environment. The aim is to disseminate these activities in the social sphere by providing sports and ecological activities to society in a public area.
Target group(s): • Group participating in the sports activity orienteering and also one of the target groups.
• Individuals who are observing the sports activity on site are another target group.
• Activity outputs will be published on the website of the Sincan District Health Directorate. Therefore, everyone that the event reaches is among the target audience.
Objectives: • It is aimed for the directorate employees who carry out the activity to develop behaviors and attitudes suitable for a sustainable active life.
• The orienteering event will be held for the first time with directorate employees. Another goal is for the activity to create a flexible working environment where the staff can reveal their creativity, and to encourage them to participate in similar events and produce innovative activities.
• This event, which will be held with the personnel in an external environment by giving incentive prizes to the winning team for the same purposes, is expected to have an impact on corporate motivation in order to increase employee loyalty and increase joint synergy.
• This event, which will be held in a public area, will allow sports to meet with the masses. During the event, employees who are not in the game will distribute "movement brochures for healthy living" to the citizens in the park. Thus, the individuals in the environment will be involved in this interaction. It is known that such environmentally sensitive sports activities increase public dialogue and awareness. For these reasons, the “main objective” of the project is to increase public awareness of ecological sensitivity and the importance of active living.
