Detailed description (English): In support of European Mobility Week, from September 16-22, our school community is promoting a simple yet impactful challenge: let's leave our cars at home!
This year's theme, "Mobility for All," calls on us to choose sustainable and accessible ways to travel. We encourage all students and teachers to walk, cycle, or use public transport to get to school. This initiative not only helps us reduce our environmental footprint but also promotes a healthier lifestyle and helps build a more vibrant and connected community.
Detailed description (original language): Στο πλαίσιο της Ευρωπαϊκής Εβδομάδας Κινητικότητας, από τις 16 έως τις 22 Σεπτεμβρίου, η σχολική μας κοινότητα προωθεί μια απλή αλλά αποτελεσματική πρόκληση: ας αφήσουμε τα αυτοκίνητά μας στο σπίτι!
Το φετινό θέμα, "Κινητικότητα για Όλους," μας καλεί να επιλέξουμε βιώσιμους και προσβάσιμους τρόπους μετακίνησης. Ενθαρρύνουμε όλους τους μαθητές και τους εκπαιδευτικούς να περπατήσουν, να κάνουν ποδήλατο ή να χρησιμοποιήσουν τα μέσα μαζικής μεταφοράς για να έρθουν στο σχολείο. Αυτή η πρωτοβουλία όχι μόνο μας βοηθά να μειώσουμε το περιβαλλοντικό μας αποτύπωμα, αλλά προωθεί επίσης έναν πιο υγιεινό τρόπο ζωής και συμβάλλει στη δημιουργία μιας πιο ζωντανής και συνδεδεμένης κοινότητας.

Objectives: Objectives for the school's European Mobility Week initiative:
1/ Raise Awareness: Inform students, teachers, and parents about the benefits of sustainable mobility and the purpose of European Mobility Week.
2/ Promote Behavioral Change: Encourage the school community to reduce their reliance on personal cars for daily commutes and to choose walking, cycling, or public transport instead.
3/ Improve Health and Well-being: Motivate students and staff to adopt more physically active lifestyles through walking and cycling.
4/ Enhance Community Cohesion: Foster a sense of collective responsibility by working together to improve the local environment and reduce traffic congestion around the school.
5/ Reduce Environmental Impact: Contribute to lower carbon emissions and better air quality in the immediate area by decreasing car usage.
