Detailed description (English): The airport becomes a symbolic starting point for inclusive mobility. The campaign highlights that every journey begins with equal access – for tourists, people with disabilities, children, seniors, or pets. The event will feature thematic areas, both inside and outside the airport, with markings and pictograms illustrating diverse mobility needs and promoting accessibility.
Activities include photo and poster exhibitions showcasing past events and the current theme, information points distributing brochures and promotional materials, demonstrations of accessibility equipment, and a special guided tour on the runway using a bus from the STB operator. Participants will have the opportunity to visit the ROMBAC aircraft and the LEARJET 75 SMURD emergency aircraft during the tour. Fire and rescue vehicles and historical materials from the Military Tradition Association, including old tickets and uniforms, will also be displayed. The Romanian Gendarmerie Representative Music Band will perform, and a live broadcast will stream the event to large screens at King Michael I Park and Gheorghe Duca Boulevard.
This initiative promotes inclusive and accessible mobility, offering an interactive, educational, and memorable experience for all visitors.
