Detailed description (English): The European Trolleybus Day 2025, organised by trolley:motion together with the Interreg CE4CE (Circular Economy for Circular Cities and Europe) and EU projects eBRT2030, is a Europe-wide campaign promoting inclusive and sustainable electric mobility. The event will take place on Saturday, 20 September 2025, during the European Mobility Week.
Under the motto “Trolleybuses: Charge Less, Drive More – Trolleybus for Everyone!”, the event highlights IMC-Buses (In Motion Charging) as a forward-looking, resource-efficient, and accessible form of public transport. These buses charge on the go, require fewer raw materials, and offer reliable service without long charging times or expensive infrastructure. With over 85 cities invited to join, this campaign showcases the practical benefits of electric transport that works for everyone – including people with limited mobility, the elderly, and underserved communities.
By participating, cities affirm their commitment to the European Mobility Week 2025 theme: “Mobility for Everyone” – demonstrating that clean and efficient public transport must also be inclusive. Activities will include test rides, exhibitions, public dialogues, and local media outreach.
Together, we are driving Europe towards a just, green, and connected urban mobility future – where no one is left behind.
