Detailed description (English): The Swedish documentary "Bikes vs Cars" shows a global crisis that we have long been aware of and that we should talk about: the climate, waste of resources, and entire cities that are being consumed and devoured by cars... An ever-increasing, dirty and loud traffic chaos. Bicycles are an alternative to counter this, but the automobile industry invests millions annually in lobbying and advertising to protect its business.
In this film, activists and thinkers have their say, who fight for an improvement, especially in the cities.
Detailed description (original language): Der schedische Dokumentarfilm "Bikes vs Cars" zeigt eine globale Krise, über die wir uns längst bewusst sind und über die wir sprechen sollten: Klima, Ressourcenvergeudung, sowie ganze Städte, die von Autos vereinnahmt und verschlungen werden… Ein stets steigendes schmutziges und lautes Verkehrschaos. Das Fahrrad ist eine Alternative, um dem entgegenzuwirken, aber die Autoindustrie investiert jährlich Millionen in Lobbyarbeit und Werbung, um ihr Geschäft zu schützen.
In diesem Film kommen Aktivist:innen und Denker:innen zu Wort, die in diesem Sinne für eine Verbesserung insbesondere in den Städten kämpfen.
