Detailed description (English): On Monday, September 22, 2025, the traditional Health Day event will be held in front of the Košice Self-Governing Region Office building, offering various free health examinations and counseling. Visitors can have their blood pressure, cholesterol, vision measured, body composition analyzed, or undergo a varicose vein analysis. At the same time, they will receive information about a healthy lifestyle.
The Health Day is organized on the occasion of World First Aid Day and also includes training in teeth cleaning techniques, as well as skin and scalp diagnostics. It also focuses on the prevention of oncological diseases, especially education about breast and testicular self-examinations, which will help visitors recognize potential health problems in time.
The event also includes a mobile collection unit of the National Transfusion Service of the Slovak Republic, where employees of the office donate blood.
Visitors can also look forward to information stands, the event will be associated with the promotion of public transport travel and will also include a free bike service.
Detailed description (original language): V pondelok 22. septembra 2025 bude pred budovou Úradu Košického samosprávneho kraja tradičné podujatie Deň zdravia, ktoré ponúka rôzne bezplatné zdravotné vyšetrenia a poradenstvo. Návštevníci si môžu dať zmerať krvný tlak, cholesterol, zrak, analyzovať zloženie tela či absolvovať analýzu kŕčových žíl. Zároveň získajú informácie o zdravom životnom štýle.
Deň zdravia je organizovaný pri príležitosti Svetového dňa prvej pomoci a zahŕňa aj nácvik techniky čistenia zubov, či diagnostiku pleti a vlasovej pokožky. Taktiež sa zameriava na prevenciu onkologických ochorení, najmä na edukáciu o samovyšetreniach prsníkov a semenníkov, čo pomôže návštevníkom včas rozpoznať prípadné zdravotné problémy.
Súčasťou podujatia je aj mobilná odberová jednotka Národnej transfúznej služby SR, kde zamestnanci úradu darujú krv.
Návštevníci sa môžu tešiť aj na informačné stánky, podujatie bude spojené s propagáciou cestovania verejnou dopravou a súčasťou bude aj bezplatný cykloservis.
