Detailed description (English): The aim of the activity is to raise awareness of sustainable transport, reduce the carbon footprint associated with travelling to school, and motivate children and teachers to adopt healthier and more environmentally friendly ways of getting to school. Students and teachers this week will calculate the carbon footprint of their journey to school based on the mode of transport. Class groups, together with the teachers, will join the challenge to achieve the lowest average carbon footprint per person. At the end of the week, the carbon footprint of the whole school will be calculated, and the group that achieved the lowest average value during the week will also be identified. The aim is to promote walking, cycling or public transport, reduce emissions and travel to school safely.
For pupils who arrive at school this week by bicycle or scooter, supplementary activities will be organized during lessons: getting to know the cycle paths around Tatranská Lomnica, and bicycle and scooter competitions focused on speed, coordination, accuracy, and control.
Detailed description (original language): Cieľom akcie je zvýšiť povedomie o udržateľnej doprave, znížiť uhlíkovú stopu súvisiacu s cestovaním do školy a motivovať deti a pedagógov k zdravším a šetrnejším spôsobom dopravy. Žiaci a pedagógovia v tomto týždni budú na základe spôsobu dopravy počítať uhlíkovú stopu svojej cesty do školy. Triedne kolektívy aj s učiteľským kolektívom sa spoločne zapoja do výzvy o dosiahnutie najnižšej priemernej uhlíkovej stopy na jedného člena. Na konci týždňa sa spočíta uhlíková stopa celej školy a taktiež sa určí kolektív, ktorý v priebehu týždňa dosiahol najnižšiu priemernú hodnotu. Cieľom je podporiť chôdzu, bicykel alebo verejnú dopravu, znížiť emisie a bezpečne cestovať do školy.
Pre žiakov, ktorí v tomto týždni prídu do školy na bicykli alebo kolobežke, budú pripravené počas vyučovania doplnkové akcie: spoznávanie cyklochodníkov v okolí Tatranskej Lomnice, súťaže na bicykloch a kolobežkách zamerané na rýchlosť, koordináciu, presnosť a kontrolu.
