Detailed description (English): On Car-free Sunday 18 September the citizen movement Rise for Climate Belgium will participate in the Bucolic Brussels festival on Place des Palais / Paleizenplein. Visitors are welcome at our stand where we will explain our ongoing activities to fight climate change. At 1 pm in the conference area we will discuss the importance of preserving urban green spaces, of local production and sharing of renewable energy, and of soft mobility for environmental health and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
Detailed description (original language): Le Dimanche sans voiture à Bruxelles ce 18 septembre, le mouvement citoyen Rise for Climate Belgium participera au festival Bucolic Brussels sur la Place des Palais. Nous invitons le public à visiter notre stand où nous expliquerons nos actions pour lutter contre le changement climatique. A 13h dans l'espace conférence-débat nous discuterons de l'importance de préserver les espaces verts urbains (avec le collectif Tuiniersforum des Jardiniers), de la production locale et du partage de l'énergie renouvelable (avec la coopérative Brupower) et de la mobilité douce pour l'environnement, la santé, et la réduction des émissions de gaz à effet de serre.

Objectives: To help citizens understand the impact on climate change of green spaces, home energy use, and transport in cities like Brussels, and encourage them to adopt measures that will save them money, improve their health and safety, and reduce their carbon footprint.
