Detailed description (English): With a circular ride around Berlin's city center, we demand more commitment to climate-friendly mobility from Berlin's political parties one week before the elections to the Berlin House of Representatives.
Worldwide, the climate crisis is becoming an increasingly urgent problem. A big city like Berlin must make its contribution to climate neutrality, and whoever wants to become mayor in Berlin must make the issue of mobility transformation a priority.
Cities like Paris, London or Vienna have already woken up, are pushing back climate-damaging motor vehicle traffic and making room for climate-friendly mobility such as walking, cycling and public transport. In Berlin, the ADFC Berlin is calling for a bicycle demonstration for a traffic turnaround one week before the elections to the Berlin House of Representatives. On the bicycle circular ride on September 19, ADFC Berlin is calling for short- and long-term measures for more climate protection in transport under the motto "Climate crisis, no thanks - mobility transformation now!". These include the expansion of a seamless bicycle network, the reduction of car parking spaces in public spaces and the dismantling of climate-damaging infrastructure projects such as the A100.
