Detailed description (English): In order to encourage the use of healthier, environmentally-friendly means of transport which improves our economy, FAEPAC, starts a competition during the month of September, a contest aimed at students from primary schools.
The participants will be students from first to sixth year of primary school from every school in the province of A Coruña. The works will be presented, depending on the age, to three possible categories:
1. Individual drawing (aimed at students from 6 to 9 years old)
2. Short story (aimed at students from 10 to 12 years old)
3. Improves mobility in your school/city (best idea submitted by a school)
The issue for individual drawing and the short story will be "Imagine your city without cars"
The first two categories, individual drawing and short story, will be equipped with different awards. While the three best ideas submitted by schools will be rewarded with the realisation, by FAEPAC, of a free energy audit.
A final award ceremony will be organised.
Target group(s): The participants will be students from first to sixth year of primary school from every school in the province of A Coruña
Objectives: Raise awareness of the public about how small changes in habits can improve health, the quality of the air and, at the same time, reduce noise pollution in cities
Educate citizens in general, and children in particular, about the importance of the use of means of transport be respectful with the environment
Expected Outcomes: All the primary schools of the province of a Coruña will be invited to take part of the competition
FAEPAC will organise an award ceremony with the winners, representatives from FAEPAC and representatives from A Coruña provincial Gobernment
FAEPAC will disseminate information about the competition and the final award ceremony through its own homepage, e-mail, Facebook, newspapers, TV and radio media
It is expected that studenst encourage their parents to use sustainable means of transport
