Detailed description (English): PROJECT CONCEPT
The project’s backbone is the sustainable movement within its relationship with music, contemporary dance, the image and the bicycle to build friendly, humane, supportive, sustainable and thoughtful neighborhoods from the care.
Movement is what brings together this proposal: it is a necessary attitude to change the world, to evolve, to break ties and begin to rethink and transform the city. Movement is the key factor that guides our actions in a transversal way.
Art and culture are ways of interfering with our environment. And so, music is understood as a dynamizing agent, due to its social and cultural base, which innovates and serves to make it visible, enhancing and amplifying its radius of action.
The project does not only mean that the audience enjoy a pleasant time of leisure, but also that it provides them with important contents to grow as individuals, it is a process of formation, reflection and change.
It is proposed to activate the local culture by creating links between different collectives and entities working in a cooperative and collaborative way, providing to the real community of citizens with an entity, making the citizen who seeks his or her place in society the protagonist by walking through the streets of the neighborhood.
The show "Kilometros pedaleando" (“Kilometers pedaling”) is a complex microcosm with several elements that interact creating bonds between the attendees, it is a festive encounter. A concert is a participative and collaborative process, built and shaped in each concrete context, always with the bicycle as a recurring element. The role of musician and audience is blurred, making it possible for the spectators to be an active part of the musical activity.
