Detailed description (English): A sustainable city is one that offers quality of life to its inhabitants without putting resources at risk, since it also ensures the well-being of future humanity and seeks social prosperity, without neglecting the advancement of technology.
The reduction of CO2 and other gases harmful to the ozone layer are some of the most significant indicators when assessing the environmental commitment of a city. This is largely achieved through green public and private mobility, and home adaptation in order to promote energy savings.
With this purpose, the aim of the fair is to make the public aware of the need for a sustainable world by presenting all the solutions that companies and institutions are currently developing.
The fair takes place in a unique environment, an extraordinary natural setting, La Dehesa de Navalcarbón, 20 km far from Madrid and with more than 120 hectares of pine forest. Undoubtedly a very important lung in the northwest. And here, just 100 m away is Nuestra Señora de Retamar fairground; an open-air enclosure with more than 40,000 m2.
Around Las Rozas and in its area of influence live more than 400,000 inhabitants. Its population (Pozuelo, Aravaca, Boadilla del Monte, Majadahonda, Las Rozas, Torrelodones, etc.) in its vast majority settles along residential areas that are very conducive to creating a full sustainable ecosystem.
MOGY will cover four major areas showrooms.
1. In the field of Mobility: Cars and commercial vehicles with an ECO and ZERO emissions label, electric motorcycles and bicycles, scooters, carsharing and motosharing platforms ... everything that allows you to move from one point to another in an efficient and sustainable way.
2. In the field of Sustainability: Social responsability projects and sustainable innovation or eco-innovation, technological platforms oriented to sustainability.
3. In the field of Smart Cities: Charging systems, sustainable urban transport, efficient management of public resources, smart signage ... In general, all the technologies made available to improve the lives of citizens while respecting the environment and the proper use of natural resources.
4. In the field of home technologies: Efficient home automation, sustainable energy systems at home (solar panels, photovoltaics, accumulators, biomass boilers), electric vehicle charging systems at home, low-consumption appliances without programmed obsolescence, ecological loans to finance sustainable projects at home. Everything you need to make your home a sustainable and more efficient space.
Therefore, from the youngest to the eldest, families will be able to enjoy a great diversity of activities adapted to all ages and always with sustainability as a common denominator. Sustainability workshops, children's entertainment, circuits of electric scooters and electric bikes, dynamic tests of electric cars and motorcycles, as well as all the activities that each of the exhibitors will organize at each stand within each of the four large areas that make up the MOGY ecosystem.
Visitors will be able to know how photovoltaic panels work in your house, how to generate sustainable electricity, how to save energy at home, they will be able to test a car with an ECO label and ZERO emissions, autonomous vehicles ... in an open circuit and learning everything you need to know about these vehicles that will be the protagonists of the mobility of cities in the coming years, as well as other elements of electric mobility that are increasingly widespread among the population, such as scooters, bikes or motorcycles.
Moreover, a professional congress will take place. Companies will present their innovative solutions as well as Las Rozas Council will pitch its own Sustainable Smart City 2030 plan. Round tables and high level meetings will facilitate business alliances.
The fair itself will be sustainable because we will all contribute to make MOGY a CO2 neutral event. All the emissions generated that weekend at the fair will be converted into trees planted by MOGY in collaboration with Las Rozas City Council.
