Activity: 'What is cheaper?'
Objectives:
Learn the advantages that have the public and collective transport in front of the private one. Compare the different means of transport and identify the most sustainable, healthy and safe.
Duration:
2 hours
Development of the activity:
The teacher gives the chart that compares the different means of transport to the students. These can compare it individually or in couples in an intuitive way. When they complete the chart, they have to look for information in internet to corroborate the results.
In groups of six students they compare their results and discuss about the differences and their information sources. Each group made a poster with their conclusions which will be presented to the rest of the students while the teacher can ask some questions to reflect.
ARRIAGA CAMPUS
Activity: 'Debate and create your slogan'
Objectives:
Debate about the future of the sustainable mobility in cities and reflect about the capacity that we have about action and influence.
Duration:
3 hours
Development of the activity:
The teacher introduces the debate method in the next way: two groups with opposite ideas will discuss with the objective to give different opinions. The students can choose the group that defends their ideas. When the debate is finished, the groups have to be divided into smaller groups in order to create slogans related with the opinions that they have defended in the debate.

Activity: 'The future of our street'
Objectives:
Reflect and made proposals to improve the San Ignacio Street, doing activities about the situation and utilisation of cycling lanes and the Barcelona experiment.
Duration:
3 hours
Development of the activity:
Firstly, a video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gnX6_SFIxGU) which shows in an easy and fast way how many space people take with the different means of transport is played. With this video, we can introduce aspects like the occupation of the pubic space, the uses of the cities, and the unsustainable of the private transport. Later, in little groups, the students discuss about: What do we learn about the experiment made in Barcelona? Do you think that this happen also in our city? What can we propose to improve the San Ignacio Street?
Target group(s): General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) and General Certificate of Education (GCE)
Objectives: Awareness students of sustainable mobility.
