Detailed description (English): To move towards sustainable and risk-free mobility, it is important to attend to a balanced coexistence between the different ways of getting around, in which the bus, train, tram, bike or walking have sufficient spaces and resources, as much or more than those destined for the private vehicle.
Active mobility is the healthiest option (it is the one in which the motor is our body, such as travelling on foot or by bicycle). It can be considered suitable for distances of up to 5km (walking) or 10 km (by bike).
In cities it is necessary to recover public space to make the same friendly places that allow everyone to travel. Implementing measures that promote active mobility by safe and non-polluting means would increase the number of people who choose it.
That is why we are calling for more specific bike lane and bus infrastructure separately. In the same way, we reject the initiative of the current Zaragoza government to force bicycles and urban buses to circulate in the same lane. This is a problem for both modalities. It is a measure that, instead of encouraging sustainable mobility, punishes it, favouring more free lanes for private cars...
