Detailed description (English): Two versions: (i) Poster (A1) and (ii) pocket map , for all capitals of Castilla-La Mancha (CLM) provinces and other important cities in the region: Toledo, Cuenca, Albacete, Ciudad Real, Guadalajara, Talavera de la Reina, Puertollano y Almadén.
A resource developped as a tool for MovilityAccion has been the “Metrominuto-educa” and “Biciminuto-educa”. It is a map or synoptic plan that measures the distances between various points and the average times it takes to move between them (on foot or by bike). It is an educational and awareness-raising element about the habit of walking or cycling, especially in urban areas.
The idea of the "Metrominutos" has been based on the proposal promoted by the cities that walk, by Concilio de Pontevedra, and has been developed for the main cities of Castilla-La Mancha (this makes it the first region in Spain that has this strategy for the whole community). In addition, some improvements and changes have been developed from the initial proposal that make them unique:
1) a unique and pioneering design based on the design of the New York subway,
2) metrominuto-Educa where the protagonists are the schools,
3) Metrominutes-Educa that include, in addition to the walking times, the cycling times (called Biciminutos-educa) and, finally,
4) the estimated times to arrive on foot or by bicycle have been calculated with GIS tools of Geographical Information (Geographical Information System) and taking into account the traffic lights, calm areas of graphics, etc ... so that it is real and specific to the specific area.
