Detailed description (English): Transport on demand (TUC à la demande) is a personalized public transport service that is only available upon reservation. The principle is simple: the driver adapts his itinerary to the users' request. It is managed by an algorithm, which takes into account all the reservations to propose an optimized itinerary. It allows to serve rural areas with little or no public transport. Users can use TUC à la demande to reach urban areas. The objective of the TAD is to broaden the offer of public transport in under-served areas, in order to limit the use of the private vehicle. This is not only beneficial to reduce road congestion but also an ecological solution. Ecological, practical and economical. Today, intermodality is in the spotlight. In this perspective, the TAD is an ideal solution to allow travelers from poorly served areas to reach developed infrastructures, such as a train station, bus station, etc. The TUC transport network has set the price at 1.20€. This is the same price as a regular bus ride. The aim is to encourage users to adopt this new mode of transport.
