Detailed description (English): Starting July 8, 2022, every Saturday, the TUC transport network is 100% free.
Users can take the bus without having to show a ticket. This decision is part of the mobility strategy of the Cambrai agglomeration.
Indeed, the free network has several dimensions.
Social: the transport network is accessible to all. Regardless of the social situation, age or income of the users, free transportation applies to everyone in all the municipalities of the Cambrai agglomeration.
Environmental: the free network also aims to bring about certain ecological benefits. If the resiedents of Cambrai use public transport rather than their personal cars, this will limit pollution and greenhouse gas emissions, not to mention that it will considerably reduce road congestion.
Economic: last but not least. The free use of the network will support the local economy by going to local shops, sports and cultural activities, for example. This notion of free travel is intended to encourage users to test the transit service before adopting it on a daily basis.
Target group(s): Users and residents of the agglomeration of cambrai
