Detailed description (English): Having had to cancel Monthly Cycles’ first birthday in 2020, we will mark our second birthday on Sunday, 12 September 2020! ❤
To celebrate two years of Monthly Cycles, which also coincides with Bike Week and Dublin Climate Action week, we will take a relaxed and gentle cycle through Dublin city centre - taking in the city's newest cycling infrastructure, stopping for tea/coffee and chats along the way, before finishing in one of Dublin city's hidden parks.
• Due to Covid-19, we ask participants to register in advance. Full details of our event will then be emailed to participants who have registered.
• The link to register, plus additional information, is available on the Monthly Cycles website: https://monthly.bike/2021/08/29/septembers-monthly-cycle-is-go/
Monthly Cycles is a Dublin-based initiative, with the aim of bringing women in Dublin together each month for an inclusive cycle around the city for all ages and abilites. Above all, we're a social event, with the added bonus of being on bikes. Along the way, we enjoy tea/coffee and cake, and exchange support and tips to new and experienced cyclers.
Target group(s): Women, People of Colour, People with Disabilities, Members of the Traveller Community, Members of Migrant Communities, People from Diverse Socio-Economic Backgrounds, Members of the LGBTQ+ Community, People from Diverse Faith and Philosophical Backgrounds
Objectives: To provide an inclusive social outlet and network for women who cycle, including support and advice, particularly for those who are new to or nervous about cycling.
