Detailed description (English): Flix is convinced that the key to a sustainable future of mobility lies, among other things, in establishing an intermodal network of environmentally friendly modes of transport, especially long-distance busses and trains.
That’s the reason why Flix added trains to their network offer. In Germany, FlixTrain has already been connecting several destinations along the Hamburg - Cologne, Berlin - Cologne and Berlin - Stuttgart routes since 2018, and has established Germany’s first privately operated long-distance train network as an affordable and sustainable rail alternative. In 2022, more connections were added and thus Flix is now giving people in all regions of Germany a choice of which train they want to travel with. In May 2021, FlixTrain expanded to Sweden, marking another major milestone towards its ambitious goal of making its sustainable train service accessible to as many people as possible, with more than 30 weekly departures in both directions between Gothenburg and Stockholm. All FlixTrain trains are powered 100% by green electricity.
