Detailed description (English): Fancy Women Bike Ride is an annual women-only cycling event held on the World Car Free Day. Every year, on 18 th September, women will be on the streets with their bikes to show that everyone can ride a bike, and it is even possible to cycle with a fancy dress. Woman’s visibility in urban spaces is key to claim the right to the city. Cycling is a particularly powerful way for women to become visible in the society and a complete new way to interact with the city. Fancy Women Bike Ride is an event for women, organized by women to remember the liberating joy of cycling and to inspire more women to use bicycle in the cities.
More women are cycling, then the other will be encouraged to cycle. Fancy Women Bike Ride is an women-only event. Participants decorate their bikes and put on something fancy. Fancy Women Bike Ride is not a race, so everybody cycle slowly. During the bike ride participants wave hands and smile to the surprised looking audience.
On September 18, 2022, the Fancy Women Bike Ride returns to Pisa, an all-female ride♀️ that will take place simultaneously in 200 cities around the world to demand more space for women on the street, in the city and in society.

Detailed description (original language): ll 18 settembre 2022 a Pisa ritorna la Fancy Women Bike Ride, una pedalata tutta al femminile ?♀️ che si svolgerà contemporaneamente in 200 città del mondo per chiedere più spazio per le donne in strada, in città e nella società. Premiata dall'ONU come miglior progetto di incentivazione all'uso della bicicletta.
L'iniziativa nasce dalle donne ed è rivolta alle donne.
L'anima di Fancy Women Bike Ride è esuberante, colorata, fantasiosa.
Niente tutine di lycra da competizione ma cappelli, tacchi, nastri, vestiti svolazzanti, fiori e palloncini colorati. Il dress code suggerito -anche se ognuna è libera di venire come le pare e piace! - è quello fancy che inneggia all'esagerazione, al colore, ai fiori.
Si pedalerà lentamente dal centro storico per max. 6/7 chilometri attraversando il centro città e arrivando alla torre di Pisa.
Le mamme possono portare tranquillamente i più piccoli e gli uomini possono partecipare in coda al gruppo
Regole del gioco: sorridere, salutare i passanti e posare davanti ai fotografi
