Detailed description (English): QWIC will launch an initiative that consists of three parts. First we conduct a survey among our users of electric bikes to find out how they use their e-bikes and to what extent these substitute other means of transport.
Second, we will carry out a 'commuter challenge'. This entails that 3 of our colleagues will use different types of transportation: EG electric bikes, public transport, regular bike, car, and document on their experiences. Eventually we will highlight why electric biking is preferred and will promote commuting by (e-)bike.
Third, we will track the total distance ridden on (e-)bikes by our staff and present this on world car free day. We will calculate how much CO2 this would have emitted had we driven cars or used other forms of transport (on average).
Target group(s): Our end users, partners and staff
Objectives: To stimulate engagement and conversation about e-mobility, and promote the usage of bicycles and electric bicycles for commuting more.
