Detailed description (English): On the initiative of the Malopolska Road Safety Council, thanks to the cooperation of the Institute for Rural Development and the Center for Road Safety Initiatives, on June 17, the Małopolska Safety Festival was organized in Targowisko, Poland. The festival was supported by partners, including Małopolska Road Traffic Center in Kraków, Małopolska Police, Road Transport Inspection, Polish Radio, national magazine "Voice of Senior". The program was based on the theme "Save the Energy for Healthy Energy" and focused on promotion of public transport, active mobility including walking, cycling and using e-scooters minimalising this way car dependency. Teenagers and families from all over the region assisted multiple stands and workshops, among them: Bicycle obstacle course, Great Road Safety & Save Energy Knowledge Test, Information and educational stands (Police, Fire Services, Road Transport Inspection, Emergencies), First aid workshops, Road Safety simulator. The organizers also focused on intergenerational safety active mobility workshops - art workshops, creating Flowers of Remembrance for children with messages for active mobility, and an intergenerational reflective fashion show. All of this was also addressed to the citizens of Ukraine living in Poland - the Council has prepared workshops in the Ukranian language and materials with all road safety rules in Poland. All the educational materials produced for this event have been used all the time during 2023 in all educational events in the region of Malopolska, to reach a wider number of citizens.
