Detailed description (English): The 22nd of September marks the "European Day Without Cars" which aims to "raise awareness of the reduction of road traffic within cities, in order to promote quality of life and guarantee the sustainability of natural resources".
AE Raul Proença decided to join this initiative and take a walk around the city. It is intended that the students/children, accompanied by the Educators/Professors of the Class/Class Directors and Secretaries/Others, take a walk between their school and Parque D. Carlos I, passing through the city center of Caldas da Rainha (Praça 25 de Abril and the so called Rua das "Montras"). This route will have to be adapted to the age reality of the children/students and the location of the JI/Escolas. In Preschool and 1st cycle, the schedule will be the usual.
This initiative intends to be more than just a walk and to act as an "icebreaker" that contributes to creating empathetic relationships between students and students/teachers.
Thus, in Parque D. Carlos I, or in another space that they consider appropriate, they should promote games between students and conversation, a lot of conversation. To create bonds, it is always a good idea to (re)know the identity of each student, in its fullness and diversity. Therefore, we suggest activities that welcome, include and promote respect for different cultures. This activity should end with a shared picnic in the class group.
No Pré-escolar e no 1.º ciclo o horário será o habitual.
Target group(s): Around 2,000 students, of different ages, from the 12 schools that constitute the AERP
