Detailed description (English): For the pilot project were created videos and same materials.
The 3 videos and some materials prepared for the pilot project EDUmob, are : 1) video 1 (EUROPEAN MOBILITY WEEK campaign video in Portuguese), 2) video 2 ( image and characters) that shows what EDUmob was achieve and the image and characters was used to prepare a game programming, about sustainability mobility; 3) video 3 - pilot day, was prepared with children (about 40) of the one school.
The materials built were:
1) wooden model bike that can be built;
2) wooden game question and answers with the model of train and bus;
3) schoolbag made by natural material: cork;
3) game programming about mobility sustainable;
4) song/music about mobility sustainable.
The intention of EDUmob is to implement several activities, some are showed in video 3, in order to educate people to act, to have critical thinking about the way we move today. At the same time, the objective is connect with local authorities in order to see the principal routes home to school and together create a urbanism plan in order to improve the infrastructures surround home and schools in order to be possible change behavior for soft mobility, where bicycle and foot and public transport are privileged instead individual car.
We also call the ancestors/grandparents to come to the school to share with the children how was done mobility in the years that they are children.
In the middle of the year, we start preparing with children, together with teachers, a programme for show/theater, about the theme, where all materials are made for school community by recycle materials. They will creating the new songs, scenarios for showing all the local community in the end of the school calendar, what they understand about sustainable mobility. The approach of education used is based in education for sustainable development.
Target group(s): Children with 4 to 10 years old, school communities and local communities.
Objectives: Engage children and communities to change beahavior for sustainable mobility and act for them.
Expected Outcomes: Reduce the use of the individual car;
Improve health of the school communities;
Improve well being of the planet and people;
Reduce ecologic footprint of the children;
Improve the use of soft mode: bicycle, foot and public transport;
reduce road sinistrality;
reduce CO2 emissions.
We hope to implement the EDUmob for to scholar year 2016/2017 with 1000 children.
Partner: For Project Pilot we have several companies that support EDUmob, as the video 3 showed in the end, like, Fertagus, Amorim Cork Composites, Ecoemotion, and another partners.
For the annual project we are search for to get partners in order to turn possible EDUmob one reality.
