Detailed description (English): We wanted to participate in European initiatives such as the EUROPEAN MOBILITY WEEK, since we are developing different activities in relation with bikes in our school. We believe that taking care of the environment is something that must be done at home and reinforced at school. For this reason, we are participating in one of the activities organised by the Town Hall: "Cultural Night Bike Ride".
As a school, we want to involve families and teachers to ride together through the city streets without cars and feeling safe. So our younger students could see that biking through the city without polluting is as much practical as it is ecological.
Detailed description (original language): Dentro de las distintas actividades deportivas que llevamos a cabo en nuestro colegio, muchas de ellas relacionadas con el uso de vehículos sin motor, hemos querido participar en este proyecto europeo.
Creemos que cuidar el medio ambiente empieza en las casas y se refuerza en el colegio. Es por ello que participaremos en una de las actividades organizadas por el ayuntamiento, Ruta cultural nocturna en bici.
Como centro escolar invitamos a las familias a participar junto con el profesorado en esta ruta, ofreciendo la posibilidad de circular por el centro de la ciudad de Granada con la seguridad de no haber coches en las calzadas. Así, creemos que los más pequeños irán viendo que moverse en bici, sin contaminar, es tan práctico como ecológico.
