Have you ever thought about cycling to work but don’t know where to start? Take part in events organised by the Mill Road Business Improvement District and get free support and advice.
Mill Road Business Improvement District (BID) has organised a range of free cycle-related activities on Friday 16th and from Monday 19th to Thursday 22nd September. By participating you could go into a prize draw to win one of several great prizes!
Details about all the activities on offer can be found below:
Friday 16th September
Find the following activities at The Painting Café between 10am – 2pm.
Love to Ride – sign up for the National Cycle Challenge and you could win! Local prizes on offer include an e-bike worth £1,500 from Easygo E-Bikes and a hybrid bike worth £699 from Elevation Cycles. Jenny from Love to Ride will be signing people up on the day.
Information stall – get advice on how to start cycling and free cycling equipment.

Saturday 17th September
Why not sign up now for Essential Cycling Skills training to get 3 hours of free training on the basics of riding and maintaining a bike? Up to 8 free places are available on this course, which will be held 11am – 2pm at Xcite Linlithgow. Monday 19th September
Visit Andy’s Bike Clinic to get a free bike safety inspection and fix minor problems on-the-spot. Andy will be on-site between 12 noon and 2pm. N.B. Andy’s Bike Clinic will operate on a ‘first-come, first-served’ basis.
Tuesday 20th September
Electric Bike information – come along to the Mill Road premises of Easygo Electric Bikes to learn more about e-bikes and how your employer could use the ‘Cycle to Work’ scheme to help you get hold of one. Why not book a test ride while you’re there! Available between 10am – 5pm on Tuesday 20th September at Easygo Electric Bikes, Unit 8, Mill Place Business Units, Mill Road Industrial Estate.
Wednesday 21st September
Drop in to our information stall at The Painting Café between 11:30am – 13:30pm to get advice on how to start cycling and free cycling equipment.
Thursday 22nd September
• Be one of the first 30 people to arrive by bike at our Cyclists’ Breakfast at The Painting Café and claim a breakfast voucher valued at £3. Available between 8 – 9:30am.
