Detailed description (English): Ten years after signing the European Road Safety Charter, Industrie Mica Prahova SA and Drumul in siguranta weblog are launching the study called The Prevention of Road Accidents, the only one of its kind in Romania at the moment. The study is based on most recent European and worldwide statistics in the area of road safety and includes suggestions and referrals regarding methods of calming the traffic and diminishing the number of victims on the road.
"When signing the European Road Safety Charter in 2012, we expressed our intention and interest to contribute to changing the perception that road markings are only necessary for the cosmetization of localities in early spring. To a large extent, we have achieved this, but there are still many steps to be taken in this area in our country. Romania continues to have the highest number of road deaths in Europe, and the lack of road markings is an aggravating factor," Mr. Ioan Matreş, Chairman of the Board of Industrie Mica Prahova SA, said on this occasion.
In the ten years since the signing of the European Road Safety Charter, Industrie Mică Prahova SA has carried out multiple campaigns in the field of road safety, both in the physical environment and online. Also, through Drumul in siguranta weblog, the company published articles and analyses on the topic of road safety in order to inform and educate publics on the importance of road markings and traffic signs and their contribution to improving traffic safety.
Detailed description (original language): La zece ani de la semnarea Cartei Europene a Siguranţei Rutiere, societatea Industrie Mică Prahova SA şi blogul Drumul în siguranţă lansează studiul Prevenirea accidentelor rutiere, unicul de acest gen din România la acest moment. Studiul se bazează pe cele mai recente statistici europene şi la nivel mondial în domeniul siguranţei rutiere şi conţine sugestii şi referiri cu privire la metodele de calmare a traficului şi diminuare a numărului victimelor pe şosele.
„La semnarea Cartei Europene a Siguranţei Rutiere în 2012, ne exprimam intenţia şi interesul de a contribui şi la schimbarea percepţiei potrivit căreia marcajele rutiere sunt necesare doar pentru cosmetizarea localităţilor la începutul primăverii. Într-o mare măsură am reuşit acest lucru, însă mai sunt paşi mulţi de făcut în acest domeniu în ţara noastră. România continuă să aibă cel mai mare număr de decese în accidente rutiere din Europa, iar lipsa marcajelor rutiere reprezintă un factor agravant,” a declarat cu acest prilej domnul Ioan Matreş, Preşedintele Consiliului de Administraţie al Industrie Mică Prahova SA.
În cei zece ani de la semnarea Cartei Europene a Siguranţei Rutiere, societatea Industrie Mică Prahova SA a derulat multiple campanii de informare şi conştientizare în domeniul siguranţei rutiere, atât în mediul fizic cât şi în online. De asemenea, prin intermediul blogului Drumul în siguranță, a publicat articole și analize pe tematica siguranței rutiere în scopul informării și educării publicurilor cu privire la importanța marcajelor și a indicatoarelor rutiere.
