Detailed description (English): The EU Project LUCIA puts a strong focus on subjective and objective safety in so called crucial public spaces e.g. tunnels. Tunnels contribute to a highly degree to Active Mobility with “smart, safe, fast and barrier free ” solutions. Unsuitable lighting and mostly marginal decoration causes feelings of fear and hinder certain target groups to use it. The LUCIA project aims to make certain urban spaces more liveable to guarantee sustainable mobility.
During the European Mobility Week we show potential of how lighting in combination with attractive decoration supports usage of this specific infrastructure and continue our participation process with involvement of certain marginal groups e.g. elderly and children. On Tuesday, Sep 22, from 3-7 p.m. at Elbewanderweg, Schröders Elbschlosstunnel, candles will indicate within the tunnel where additional lighting from a subjective perspective is needed. A specific wall-decoration show effects of how to increase objective safety while participants explore it.
Target group(s): pedestrians, cyclists
Objectives: increase subjective and objective safety
Expected Outcomes: improved ligthing situations
