Detailed description (English): We will be picking up litter along the banks of the South Norwood Stream, which runs through the South Norwood Country Park on the long distance walking route, the Waterlink Way. The event aims to protect natural walking routes close to the UK's waterways and highlight the issues disposable plastic and waste water pose to the natural environment.
Target group(s): Residents and park users.
Objectives: To clear plastic waste from the stream before it reaches the River Thames and the Channel.
To raise awareness of a local waterway.
To educate about the dangers of storm sewage discharge and water pollution locally.
