Győr organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2010, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
"Travel smarter live better" Educational programs in the local schools. "Most active" school competition on the mobility week.

Car-free day Car-free day

Győr carries out a Car-Free Day 2010 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
There will be 4 streets closed for cars in the city center.
One is crosses the main shopping street, this will be used only by pedestrians.
The other three roads have pretty high traffic usually also. As long as these roads will be closed, the race of the "solar energy" cars will take place on the road.
