Activities within the week Activities within the week

Regione Puglia organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2011, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
This year Puglia Region takes part in the European Mobility Week organising many initiatives to support the sustainable mobility.
The programme foresees different events which aim to enhance the mobility towards a more sustainable transport system.

a) The first event will be the concert of Tetes de Bois titled "Good Bike". it will take place on 15 September 2011, before the offical starting of the mobility week. The power source necessary to realize the concert is provided by the movement of 100 bicycles.
This performance represents an innovative way to sensibilise public opinion about a new economic and eco-friendly mobility because it needs the active participation of the people: if the participants don’t ride, the stand will be silent. In fact, the electric energy necessary for the show will be generated by 100 voluntary bike-riders who load some generators.

b) Workshop on safe routes to school by bicycles titled “Bicibus and school trip on bikes” organised in coollaboration with FIAB (Italian Federation Bikes’s friends). At The target group will be the teachers of primary and secondary school in the entire region.

c) Organization of bike walks in urban centers and Alta Murgia Park.

d) Organization of events in the train stations to support local public transports and transform the stations in places of culture and sociality.
