Milano (Milan) organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2012, taking into account the annual theme.

Milan has promoted sustainable mobility by focusing on the use of the bicycle as transportation, creating new bike lanes, hundreds of bicycle parking stations and increasing the bikesharing service. The Administration also started 3 "car free" school zones, promoted the use of car sharing, car pooling and electric vehicles. Finally invested resources for the strengthening of public transport.

Milano (Milan) carries out a Car-Free Day 2012 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
