Public transports: Distribution of “Mobility Packages” to new residents in the county, Installation of TRANSPORLIS kiosk, "Trips for Trash" action.
Bicycle use: Implementation of Bici Parks, Campaign “a 22 vamos os 2”, Ring-Ring Operation, 2nd bicycle ride across the Tagus, Bicycle mini-fair.
Walking: Sports activities and traditional games, Accessibility School, Photographic Marathon “Almada Photo Move”.
Live streets: Street Market, Vinyl Fair, Tour of Flavors, Cook sessions, Street animations, Musical shows, Bike In film festival.
Green routes: Inauguration of cyclable itinerary between Cacilhas and Parque da Paz, Free shuttle to the car free area.

Car-free day Car-free day

Almada carries out a Car-Free Day 2013 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
Following the policy of annual itinerancy of this initiative adopted by Almada City Council, this year the Car Free Day campaign will take place in Almada Borough, centred in the pedestrianized area implemented around the city centre, which involves a population of nearly 2500 residents and several dozens of commercial shops and establishments. On the 22nd of September, an additional 100 m long section of the Rua Francisco Xavier de Noronha will be closed to traffic from 7h00 to 19h00, with the exception of public transports and electrical or hybrid vehicles.
