Thessaloniki Public Transport Authority organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2014, taking into account the annual theme.

1. Press Releases to the local Press regarding the actions of the European Mobility Week
2. Messages about EMW in VMS in Bus Stops and inside the Bus
3. Free public transport on "In town without my car" day (22 Sept.)
4. Poster Campaign in Bus Stops and Bus vehicles
5. Thematic Leaflets about Parking, Tram, e-ticket, Bikes, BRT and Pedestrians
6. TV spot promoting the use of public transport in our public space
7. Social Media Channels (posts actions relative to the theme on facebook)
8. Competition about a free Ride Bus Card (for a period of 6months).

Car-free day Car-free day

Thessaloniki Public Transport Authority carries out a Car-Free Day 2014 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
In the city center of Thessaloniki on the 22nd of September 2013 a restricted area to the private car will be applied.
