Kópavogur organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2014, taking into account the annual theme.

General publication meeting with cycling orginzations in order to promote cycling and emphesis the new 4 year cycle paths plan.

Survey in all primary schools to monitoring the transportation choice and pattern.

Survey to identify the selected routes to school that are then prioritised in maintenance, development and overall service of the municipal.

Car-free day Car-free day

Kópavogur carries out a Car-Free Day 2014 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
Employees are given sub tickets to use to get to and from work on the 22.9.2014 and access will be restricted.
