Burgas organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2014, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
Campaign "Solar Charging" - we created an autonomous solar charging station for electrical vehicles where our citizens could test different models of electric cars, scooters, solar camper and a mini bus. Solar energy was powering various household appliances and mobile devices. Burgas citizens were able to try solar coffee and sunny fresh while charging their phone. For the campaign period in the area was provided free WiFi connection.
“Solar Charging” campaign is part of a wider initiative to create a regional system of solar charging stations for electrical vehicles in collaboration with the municipality of Nesebar and Pomorie.

Official event "launching" the reconstruction of terminal "Meden Rudnik". The terminal is an integral part of the concept of Bus Rapid Transit line (BRT) and optimization of the transport scheme of the city.

Campaign "Our streets, our choice" – reclaiming urban areas for public spaces in favor of people.
- Green bus station (creating a bus stop from grass and threes)
- Green car (green installation of a car recaptured by plants)
- Green Street (green installation of waste containers turned in flowerpots and a grass path through the city center)
- Green Island (green installation -a ship of plants)

Campaign "Maritime urban mobility"
Test courses by boat from the harbor of the neighborhood of "Sarafovo" to the city center, port "Burgas". The campaign promoted the diversity of transport modes in the city of Burgas and tested the citizens reaction to the sea public transport.

Campaign 'Car Free Day'
Drawing on asphalt – we closed a street in the city center and reclaimed 6 parking spaces as a canvas. We put an information kiosk of the project "Integrated Urban Transport of Burgas" and had a day ful of initiatives for children and passerby.

Car-free day Car-free day

Burgas carries out a Car-Free Day 2014 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
In the city center of Burgas we closed a central area for cars and opened it only for pedestrians, public transportat and alternative modes of transportation as bikes, eco- cars, skating and more. The restricted zone was a intersection of two big streets: “Alexander Batengerg str.” and”Tsar Simeon l”.
The drawn parking spaces of the paid parking Blue Zone were turned into canvas for young artists.
