Tyresö organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2015, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
Arranging the national competition "walk and bike to school" for children. Tyresö municipality encourages participation in the competition by contibuting with local prices.

Tyresö is handing out breakfast 18/9 to people who cycle to work/school. Information about the handout is published on Tyresö's website: www.tyreso.se/cykelfrukost

Together with Stockholm city and Nacka municipalitiy, Tyresö has produced a map showing the newly buildt bike paths crossing the borders between the municipalities. These will be handed out together with the breakfast to inform that we've built new bicycle paths but also that we collaborate with the nieghbouring municipalities when it comes to infrastructure that improve cycling.

To encourage people working for the municipality to walk and bike to work, Tyresö is arranging a competition with prices for the three people who bike and walk the longest distance during a certain period.

Improvement of bicycle network (creation of new lanes, extension, renovation, signposting etc)
Tyresö has built 800 metres bike lane.

Tyresö has made two bus stops more accessible for people with disabilities
New forms of vehicle use and ownership
The cars in the car-pool of the municipality are gradually being replaced by more environmentally friendly cars.
Freight distribution
Tyresö has, together with seven other municipalities i the Södertörn region, started a coordinated freight distribution, with shared logistic centers. The cooperation has resulted in fewer distrubutio
