Ternopil organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2015, taking into account the annual theme.

-Lessons and lectures in the city schools about EMW, "green transport" and use of bikes
-Poll on the issue of transformation of the Chornovola str. into a pedestrian zone
-Art activities on the Chornovola str. closed for traffic during the week of 16-22 September
-Bicycle city tour
- Cinema "Bikes vs Auto"

Ternopil implements one or more new permanent measure(s), which contribute(s) to modal transfer from private car to environmentally sound means of transport.

New or improved bicycle facilities
Improvement of bicycle network (creation of new lanes, extension, renovation, signposting etc)
Improvement of bicycle facilities (parking, locks etc)
Public transport services
Improvement and extension of the public transport network (creation of HOV lanes for public transport modes, new stops, new lines, reserved areas etc)
Improvement and extension of the public transport services (express services, increase frequency etc)

Development and implementation of measures to improve the possibilities to travel by bike. Besides:
- Opening of the Extreme Park
- Increasing the number of trolley buses
- Establishment of bicycle parkings

Car-free day Car-free day

Ternopil carries out a Car-Free Day 2015 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
Chornovola sreet will be closed for cars during the whole week, 16-22 September. The transferred to the pedestrian street will host Art activities.
