Braga organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2015, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
Challenge to the population to use a bicycle as a mean of transportation throughout the week;
Challenges to schools to promote environment friendly means of transportation and car sharing to parents, students and workers;
No car shopping day;
Intermodal journey using bike, bus and funicular;
Demonstration of electric vehicles.
Other activities:
Mobility Store Opening (TUB - local public transport services) and RD & I certificate ceremony of the same public transport company;
Classes in schools of use of public transports;
Bicycle driving lessons;
Bicycle repair lessons;
Free Walking Tour (guided tourist route);
Green route bike riding;
“Road Education School” open to the public;
Discussion: " Strategy for Sustainable Mobility 2020 ";
Sport activities;
Public transport travel in exchange for recyclable waste;
Urban blindfolded route for awareness of the difficulties of blind and partially sighted people;
Baroque route for reduced motor mobility people.

Implementation of a cycling route: Universidade do Minho - Historical Center, by authorizing bicycle circulation on the same route with Collective Transport vehicles in the streets R. Nova Santa Cruz, R. D. Pedro V and R. S. Victor;
Mobility Store Opening;
Programme implementation "Via Azul" - priority police surveillance zones to prevent abusive car parking;
Intervention in one location to improve transit conditions.

Car-free day Car-free day

Braga carries out a Car-Free Day 2015 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
The "Car-Free Day" will be on the 18th (evening and night), 19th (afternoon, evening and night) and 20th (all day and all night) on Rua Dom Gonçalo Pereira and part of Praça do Município (transit continuously closed from the 19th at 14h until 7h30am of the 21st).
