Activities within the week Activities within the week

Akureyri organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2016, taking into account the annual theme.

Different activities will be held during the whole week. Park(ing) day will be on friday the 16th, bicycle trips on the 16th and 17th, a bicycle tournament on the 18th and a walkin trip on the 20th. During the whole week a photo contest will be running where the theme is "Walking around the town".

Akureyri carries out a Car-Free Day 2016 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

The main street in the city centre will be closed to traffic.
