Pirot organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2019, taking into account the annual theme.

16 September
On September 14th, the EMW in Pirot will be announced and launched, during the Health and safety day organized by Company "Tigar Tires". On September 16th, there will be media conference and launch of local campaign for traffic safety. One video, specially created on this topic, will be piloted on local media. Permanent measure on urban mobility will be promoted.
17 September
Lectures for school and kinder-garden children will be organized to inform them about rules on safety and benefits of walking. The brochure called "Pazljivko" (safety man) will be distributed together with other educational material.
18 September
Education of young parents and nurses on use of safety car seats. Distribution of 20+30 safety car seats for babies free of charge.
19 September
EDWARD - workshops for students of high school final year about safe driving with presence of victims of car accidents. 2 workshops with students from Technical and Economy high school.
20 September
Car free day in Serbian Towns and municipalities - mayor of Pirot together with his associates comes to work walking or by bike. Car free Day - closing for traffic Srpskih Vladara street from 9 AM. Bike rides, races, children playing and drawing.
21 September
Parking Day - installing the parking for bicycles instead of car parking in few parking spots.
22 September
Activities of Sport Center in Pirot. Promotional bike ride.

Car-free day Car-free day

Pirot carries out a Car-Free Day 2019 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
Srpskih vladara street will be closed on Friday, September 20th
