Rijeka organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2019, taking into account the annual theme.

16 September
10:00 - 12:00 Painting pavements of city bus stops


18:00 - 20:00 Green movie show: "Without noise and smell with e-bike to the city"
- Several short films will be shown on how cycling is addressed in others
European cities such as Copenhagen and Seville, after which follows a short virtual ride through City of Rijeka with a bike (from home to work) with the presentation of the results of a digital survey by TIR conducted among cyclists.
The screenings and presentations are followed by a panel discussion with govermental and NGO's representatives and intrested citizens.

-Promotion of school traffic units : The promotion of the new generation of the School Traffic Unit will be held at the Youth Center as the final act of implementation of the Plan and Program of the County Council for road traffic safety in Primorsko - goranska county as a part of the training of students for school traffic pointsman.

10:00 - 12:00 About health and walking together!
In the City Hall there will be held a series of lectures.
A lecture "About walking and health!" will talk about benefits walking and recreation have on our health, and the lecture " With e-bike through City of Rijeka" is a public presentation of the new city project of implementation of the e-bikes in the city of Rijeka as city's way of contributing to general health, recreation, ecology and economy.

09:00 - 13:00 Traffic activities for children in European Mobility Week
Traffic program teacher will introduce children to the basics of traffic culture, they will be explained how should pedestrians act in traffic, familiarize them with traffic rules and allow them to cycle on the traffic polygon.

10:00-12:00 Red and green cards
Young environmentalists of the Our Children Society will patrol the streets downtown and monitor citizens' behavior in traffic and compliance with traffic laws and regulations. On this occasion they will give citizens red cards for improperly crossing the road and green cards for proper traffic behavior, and interview them about their traffic habits.

2. Walk around the Tower Center (shopping center)
Visitors will be invited to participate in the competition in shopping centre "Tower Center Rijeka" in the afternoon hours. Citizens that are going to use ordinary stairs instead of escalators will be given appropriate prizes.
