Cork organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2020, taking into account the annual theme.

16 September
Launch of an electric bike initiative with local partners to increase the use of electric bikes as a mode of transport. This included the launch of a new website www.we-bike.ie, which provides a one-stop location for people who wish to find out more about e-bikes. We used local ambassadors to tell their story on how e-bikes have made a positive impact on their lives. This launch heavily covered in local and national media as it was the first of its kind in Ireland and was supplemented by a billboard campaign

After a previous successful trial, Cork City Council also launched a scheme for the installation of 10 new parklets in the city. Community groups and businesses were asked to express their interest in the installation of parklets in their locality.

Down the Line with a 99, Pairc Ui Chaoimh - Passage Cycle - Fun and sociable cycle for families/occasional cyclists starting at Páirc Uí Chaoimh using the Old Railway Line to Passage West and back!
Bike Week Cycle to Cobh & Proceeding Bike Doctor - A cycle out to Cobh out the old railway greenway. There will be a break for a picnic in Cobh before beginning the journey back to the city.

Electric Bike Conversions - The Basics -Showing how easy it can be to convert a normal pedal bike into an e-bike, and what your options are. This will help anyone considering an e-bike conversion how it's possible to do it themselves.

Cycle on the green - A Cork City Council initiative to bring cycling into local housing estates, to give children aged between 10-12 cycling skills and basic bike maintenance.

Bike Week Cycle to Waterfall & proceeding Bike Doctor -​A cycle out to Mullinavasigh Waterfall out through Ballincollig Regional Park old railway greenway. There will be a break for a picnic at the Waterfall before beginning the journey back to the city.
