What is a Just Transition for Transport - webinar

Moving through the city is a daily activity and one laden with challenges. Reducing emissions from transport is critical to meeting our targets, but can it be done in a manner that is just? How do we make moving around the city equitable along lines of gender, race, and socioeconomic status?

In advance of Make Way Day on 24th September and as part of European Mobility Week, Dublin City Council is organising a webinar to draw attention to the challenges and obstacles faced by vulnerable road users every day.

We’ll be joined by the National Disability Authority, the Disability Federation of Ireland and Voice for Vision Impairment Ireland to share the challenges faced by their members in relation to navigating urban space. We’ll hear about what each group of road users can do to be more considerate in making public space more welcoming and accessible place for everyone.
