Pitesti (Pitești) organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2022, taking into account the annual theme.

16 September
As a partner in the national campaign „Change the PET with a bus ticket”, initiated by the association ”Act for Tomorrow” and integrated into the national program called „Green Friday”, Pitești Municipality is one of the 65 Romanian cities that are organizing this event, on the 16th of September, which offers the possibility, for the residents of the town, to travel by bus paying for the ticket with 5 PET or glass bottles, that they can bring to the collection centers for recycling. This action promotes both the use of public transport and the recycling of plastic and glass.
17 September
Awareness-raising and educational materials regarding sustainable mobility will be transmitted on the LED screen in the central area of the city and also on social media, as part of the informational campaign organized for this edition of EMW.
18 September
Free-Car Day: during a period of 8 hours, a big part of one of the central boulevards will be close to traffic and open to pedestrians and cyclists.
