Nicosia organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2022, taking into account the annual theme.

16 September
Promoting European Mobility through various posts/stories on Instagram and Facebook
17 September
1) Cycling Event by connecting three different municipalities and their Universities to the city center (three different starting points). In cycling event will participate also electrical scooters and bicycles. The destination point of the cycling will be Eleftherias square, where it will be take place various activities, based on European mobility theme of 2022.
2)Car-Free Day event by closing Konstantinou Palaiologou and Rigainis streets. The event will include food, drinks and music, also there will be some kiosks of bike and scooter rental companies for further information and promotion of alternative mean of transport.

Nicosia implements one or more new permanent measure(s), which contribute(s) to modal transfer from private car to environmentally sound means of transport.

Makariou III Avenue and Anastasiou Leventi street, on October, as a permanent measure, will be use as an access only roads for buses, taxis and other permit holders (e.g. residents, emergency purposes, suppliers, municipal services)

Nicosia carries out a Car-Free Day 2022 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
