Detailed description (English): In the first place, the union proposes to physically and sensorially improve all the infrastructures in the provision of the public transport service to make it easier for citizens to make use of this transport, as well as to establish points and information posts that allow users to choose the most suitable mode of public transport for your needs.
In addition, to facilitate the modal change, CCOO raises the need to shorten waiting times, improve transport occupancy, implement energy saving and efficiency measures and, in turn, develop an infrastructure improvement plan in terms of endowment services, mainly sanitary and hygiene.
Regarding access to this transport, the union includes among its proposals the idea of ​​facilitating in the different means of public transport (public bicycle loans, rail, bus, taxi, etc.) the possibility of having a single card for subscription of the transport service used in any location.
Another of the measures he proposes is to carry out new studies to redesign and dimension the regional and regional railway structures that ensure sustainable and safe mobility, respond to local needs and are an element of social cohesion and structuring of the territory.
To facilitate mobility and meet the needs of citizens in their daily activities, CCOO includes in its proposals establishing criteria for schedules and times to travel to work, educational centers, health centers, sports or leisure facilities, etc.
On the other hand, in terms of infrastructure, the union proposes to prepare an electrification plan for the conventional network that prioritizes railway lines that facilitate access to the railway in conditions of safety and equality between areas. In the same vein, it is necessary to increase the participation of the railway in freight transport.
To promote energy savings, CCOO establishes in its battery of proposals the need to regain accessibility to stations and stops that facilitate exchange with other modes of public transport.
Another point highlighted by the union is the need to strengthen public transport modes with greater staffing and equipment to meet the demands of citizens.
Finally, CCOO de Cantabria proposes among its battery of measures to elaborate and approve a public transport financing model and to elaborate in Cantabria a Law of Sustainable and Safe Mobility.
