Detailed description (English): The goal of the #EUSustainableMobility Project is to engage young people from all over Europe to reflect on how society could use changes invoked by COVID-19 as well as the attitudes and behaviours of the younger generations to tackle the climate crises through sustainable mobility.
The Project is composed of five campaigns covering 20 European countries (with two targeted cities per country) running from 2020-2022. The first campaign took place from November 2020 to February 2021 in IT, ES, BE & DE, The second campaign -in PT, AT, NL & UK, from April 2021 to -July 2021. The next campaign is due to start in November 2021, will cover SI, RO, SE & EL and run for 4 months
The Project gives young people aged 18-35 the opportunity to voice their opinions and transform their habits regarding sustainable mobility. Each campaign aims at collecting:
• responses on habits, beliefs and intentions regarding sustainable mobility.
• innovative ideas to promote sustainable mobility within the participants city/country
• sustainable mobility related photographs and/or other media content.
Following completion of the survey, one individual with the best combination of idea and picture per city is awarded with two Interrail or Eurail Passes. Awards are distributed during an online event with key stakeholders , a panel discussion, presentation of the survey results, and presentation of the winners’ innovative ideas.
