Detailed description (English): MUBi – Association for Urban Mobility by Bicycle, local section of Porto, together with eight collectives* that strive for more and better green spaces, invite everyone to participate in the “Green Cities, Living Cities” initiative, on the 18th of September, in Porto. This initiative combines active mobility and the defense of urban green spaces, including an informal bicycle tour and the carrying out of recreational and leisure activities in 3 locations, as well as the exchange of information on the actions of collectives in these spaces.
MUBi and *the eight collectives involved in this initiative have previously cooperated, namely, in the organization of the “Passeio Solidário - For a really green city”, on the 4th of September, which brought together around 100 people in Praça Gen. Detailed description (original language): A MUBi – Associação pela Mobilidade Urbana em Bicicleta, secção local do Porto, em conjunto com oito colectivos* que pugnam por mais e melhores espaços verdes, convidam todas as pessoas a participar na iniciativa “Cidades Verdes, Cidades Vivas”, no dia 18 de Setembro, no Porto. Esta iniciativa conjuga a mobilidade activa e a defesa dos espaços verdes urbanos, incluindo um passeio informal e a realização de actividades lúdicas e recreativas em 3 locais, bem como a troca de informações sobre as acções dos colectivos destes espaços.
A MUBi e *os oito colectivos envolvidos nesta iniciativa já cooperaram anteriormente, nomeadamente, na organização do “Passeio Solidário - Para uma cidade realmente verde”, no passado dia 4 de Setembro, que juntou cerca de 100 pessoas na Praça Gen. Objectives: To demonstrate the relevant connection between active mobility and the existence and conservation of green urban spaces;
To promote civic society movements that defend green urban spaces;
To promote the fruition of existing green urban spaces.
