Detailed description (English): The challenge Find the way runs from September 14-25. Find the way is a walking & cycling initiative
for Lund's school students. The aim is to get more people to travel to school in an active and
sustainable way, providing benefits for the environment and changing behaviour to encourage a
more active lifestyle. The challenge put the focus on sustainable transportation. The class collect
points by travelling sustainable to and from school and by achieving missions together in the class.
During the challenge, the class can complete 10 missions.
ISLK is an active part in European mobility week. To facilitate the program there will be
a closure of a street outside the school, a part of Linnégatan, between Östervångsvägen
and Celsiusgatan, between the 14th and 21st of September. The street will take on a
different character during the week, allowing the school to use it for both teaching and
playing.
Target group(s): Primary and secondary years students and their families, staff. Whole school community.
Objectives: More and more children are being driven by car to school and unfortunately, children's
cycling is decreasing. Using sustainable and active transport options promotes children's
development whilst reducing environmentally hazardous emissions. It also creates a
safer and more pleasant traffic environment at the school. Through this challenge, we at
Lund Municipality want to put the focus on sustainable transportation
Expected Outcomes: 400 students at school, 70 staff members.
Partner: Lunds kommun
